Day 147 of My Italian Learning Journal*
_____________________
This evening we celebrated our granddaughter’s 15th birthday, a few days early. There were lots of relatives present and some of her school friends as well. The party was hosted at a local and popular Bar-B-Que restaurant. The food was good, and the occasion was festive. My wife and I bought the cake. The items on the cake are face make-up items, lipstick, brushes, eye shadow, etc. – made of sugar, of course. Relatives had opportunities to catch up with one another’s lives. The dinner was followed by the special cake and cookies. The party moved to my granddaughter’s home where the presents were opened. Fifteen years-old . . . Wow. (Now for a short practice script in Italian . . . grammar corrections are welcome.)
