Day 148 of My Italian Learning Journal*

At a birthday party last night the conversation rolled around to cars. The first car I owned was a 1964 Ford Mustang. It had a 289 V-8 engine, 4-stick shifter on the floor, and painted dark-ivy metallic green. It was absolutely beautiful and powerful. I drove that pony over 20 years until another driver plowed into me at a traffic light. It broke my heart. If it were not for that collision I would still be driving that muscle car. (Now for a short practice script in Italian . . . grammar corrections are welcome.)
