Roofing Crew


Day 181 of My Italian Learning Journal*

One of our neighbors had serious damage on his house resulting from a recent storm. It was not a matter of simply replacing the shingles, but replacing the entire roof. A crew of roofers has been at work for a couple of days, working to beat the threatening rain in the forecast. As I'm writing I'm wondering what the best Italian word is for "roofer." I'll write the practice script in Italian for today, and see if anyone online with check my Italian grammar.

  • Una delle case dei nostri vicini ha gravi danni al tetto.
    One of our neighbor's house has serious roof damage.
  • Questo รจ successo durante un forte vento e tempesta di pioggia.
    This happened during a strong wind storm.
  • Un equipaggio di riparatori dei tetti sta sostituendo l'intero tetto della casa.
    A crew of roofers is replacing the entire roof of the house.
  • Spero che i riparatori dei tetti completino il lavoro prima che piova.
    Hopefully the roofers will complete the job before it rains.
