Tuba Virtuoso

Day 184 of My Italian Learning Journal*
_____________________

The tuba as a solo instrument? Just listen to Øystein Baadsvik, tuba virtuoso. I am partial toward brass instruments, having played the trombone for many years, but not of late. There are times I look for different instrumental music on youtube.com and tonight I discovered Øystein Baadsvik, who pushes the tuba beyond what would seem the limits of the instrument. Perhaps a taste for brass instrumental music helps appreciate this amazing musician, but how Øystein Baadsvik transforms the tube into a melodious solo instrument can be appreciated by music loving audiences were every he performs. (Grammar corrections are welcome for the practice script in Italian that follows.)
