Lemonade Day

Day 240 of My Italian Learning Journal*
_____________________

Our 12th-grade students who are enrolled in Economics are participating in the Lemonade Day. Their teacher is using this event as a way of teaching the students about becoming an entrepreneur, by developing a business plan to set up a lemonade stand and sell the drinks next Saturday. I recall the great limoncello my wife and I had on the Isle of Capri when we first visited Italy a few years ago. The lemons on the trees were huge. (Any corrections for my practice Italian script below are welcome.)

Alcosta Questo:

  • I nostri studenti di 12 ° grado stanno imparando come diventare un imprenditore.
Our 12th-grade students are learning how to become an entrepreneur.
  • Gli studenti stanno formando squadre per Lemonade Day.
The students are forming teams for Lemonade Day.
  • Ogni squadra pianificherà e gestirà uno stand di limonata sabato prossimo.
Each team will plan and operate a lemonade stand next Saturday.
  • Vedremo chi vende più limonata.
We'll see who sells the most lemonade.

Alla prossima!
