Mother's Day Gifts for a Women's Shelter

Our students have learned the importance of community service. I sponsor two clubs at the high school where I work and plan projects of community service. One of our students headed a project of collecting new and gently use jewelry that would serve as Mother's Day gifts for residents at two shelters for women. We made announcements calling for donations and we were totally surprised at the amount of jewelry items that were donated for our project. Our project leader and a few other students sorted the jewelry, bagged the items, and delivered them to the women's shelter in time for Mother's Day this weekend. It's my pleasure to work with our amazing, thoughtful students. (Correction to any part of my Italian practice script below are welcome.)
