Crowbar = Piede di Porco.

Day 286 of My Italian Learning Journal*

Last night's post was about the wrecking bar, like the one in the picture at right. As I learn Italian, I often go to for help. There I requested some help with a few translations, and the one for "wrecking bar" is "piede di porco," which is Italian for "pig's foot." Very colorful.

    I was surprised to learn that "wrecking bar (crowbar)" is "piede di porco" in Italian, which means "pig's foot."
