HiNative.com Is So Helpful

Day 299 of My Italian Learning Journal*

Two days ago my post was about the 4th of July and how I was going to "fly" my American flag. I ask for help a HiNative.com on the correct word for "fly" Well there were variations on the suggestions. It appears there may not be a direct figure of speech. Most of the suggestions had to do with "wave the flag," which was not my intent. Perhaps the use of the word "hoist" is better. I express my appreciation for the comments by those who responded to my question.
