Italian Food for Lunch

Day 308of My Italian Learning Journal*

My wife and I had not gone to a nice restaurant in a while. So, today we did a little shopping and went to a small Italian restaurant we found a couple of months ago. Cafe Italia is a cozy restaurant that serves excellent Italian food. The music was non stop Dean Martin -- a bit much. Anyway, my wife had a pepperoni pizza, and I had chicken cacciatore (I like the way the word cacciatore sounds). The bread rolls there are so good.

• Oggi Mia moglie ed io abbiamo pranzato in un piccolo ristorante italiano.
  Today my wife and I had lunch at a small Italian restaurant.

• Avevo pollo alla cacciatore, e mia moglie aveva una pizza ai peperoni.
  I had chicken cacciatore, and my wife had a pepperoni pizza.

• Il cibo era assolutamente delizioso.
  The food was absolutely delicious.
